With speaker Rebekah Illif--why is it since women's liberation that our entire focus in our careers is achieving what men have achieved? How is that a goal? This type of thinking is valid when it comes to equal pay and opportunities...not having barriers specifically because of gender. However, how do women create their own sense of self around goals, how to do "work" well, and what we want. Not only should we not look to men as the metric or model, but we can actually carve out an entirely unique path not related to anything ever done before. Imagine the freedom in that!
