Featuring Dr. Liz Fiedler Mergen, Memoir author and Founder of Sunny Mary Meadow flower farm

Many entrepreneurs are told to “niche down.” To find one thing, do it well, and stay in your lane. But what if niching down isn’t the only path to success? In The Fertilizer Framework, Dr. Liz Fiedler Mergen reframes the way business leaders think about growth, diversification, and sustainability by showing how the right elements can feed into each other rather than fragment your focus.

Drawing from her real-world experience building Sunny Mary Meadow, a flower farm expanding into events, retail, speaking, coaching, and agritourism. Liz illustrates how she stacked strategic business opportunities to create a self-sustaining ecosystem where each branch supports the others. Rather than cutting away opportunities and feeling scattered, she teaches audiences to identify what feeds growth and what drains energy, stack complementary revenue streams, and shift from reactive to intentional decision-making.

This talk helps entrepreneurs, leaders, and innovators who feel like they’re “doing too much” learn how to turn that energy into strategic growth without burnout. You’ll walk away with a framework that supports sustainable scaling, aligned offerings, and a business model where every part fertilizes the whole rather than weakening it.

    Key takeaways include:
     • How to identify interconnected opportunities that drive momentum
     • How to eliminate “cannibal offerings” that drain resources
     • How to think in systems rather than silos
     • Practical strategies for sustainable growth and intentional expansion
     • How personal narrative and strategic business design can co-exist for success

Whether you’re a founder, small business owner, or creative professional, this talk will transform how you see your roles, responsibilities, and revenue streams, showing when we thoughtfully stack what we do best, growth isn’t just possible… It’s inevitable.
